Maybe you should try running the game as administrator. Also, put all the files on the game launcher/main folder and run from there. Maybe you are trying to run the game from Steam so rename the file to 'oni3.exe' and replace the original. For configuring controller press F2.
My game's default language is english and your oni3ws.exe's default language is japanese,so that error.i tred. Maybe u r right, forgive me.but how edit reg files to change language?
I tred modify regedit if i running the game and the language to be default english. Forgive my bad english. You see that's the problem, the exe is not japanese, it's a problem with the game itself. I had this problem too that it launched in japanese when I moved the files to another directory and I was experimenting to find solutions to the controller problem. I just installed the game again and it showed in english. I don't have the steam version, I have the original disc version from a few years back, so I don't know if the registry entry is different. Let me try to install it again now and see what I can find.
I don't beleive they updated the game, look at how it is, there is clearly no thought in the conversion to steam, the last update to the game was 1.1 a few years back. If for some reason on the registry it shows 1.20 or something like that, just add the extra string for 1.00.000 I am unable to test how it works without the steam.exe - I posted this fixes cause they worked for me, and based on what I read it seems that the steam version was identical to the retail one. From what you guys are experiencing there seem to be something that is not making that work.
