October 18, 2014, Jason requested a Pokemon-themed birthday party this year. It’s a hard theme for me to get excited about, mostly because I know very little about the game and even after watching an episode of the cartoon series, I still feel largely uninformed and uninspired. I’m trying to roll with it though, and so far, he seems pretty happy with our party planning. Last week, I finished the invitations which are based on the design of the character trading cards. I’ve decided to make these available as templates so that others planning a Pokemon party can create their own customized invitations.
The Templates There are 2 PSD (Photoshop) files:. A in which all of the text and the image are customizable. A in which all of the text is customizable If you would like to use the official Pokemon font, you can. Also, I created yellow templates but the actual cards come in a variety of colors. If you would like to create cards in different colors, you can find more options. UPDATE: Looking for Pokemon party ideas? Check out our complete party post.
Hi Christine, In Photoshop, you’ll need to display the “Layers” panel by going to the Window menu at the top and clicking Layers. This should prompt a column to display on the right. Click “Layer 2” which is the layer containing the photo. You can click the eye icon on the right to turn off my photo. At this point, there shouldn’t be any photo displaying on the invitation. Next, you’ll need to open your photo in Photoshop. Size your photo to 624 px by 410 px (at 96 dpi) and then drag it (or copy and paste it) onto the invitation.
That should be it. Julee. Christine April 28, 2015 @ 8:21 am.
